This Calgary to Vancouver self-drive and rail westbound itinerary really maximizes your time in Western Canada. It starts with a self-drive itinerary from Calgary to Jasper, and ends with the highlight of a Rocky Mountaineer train experience, along the 2 day Journey Through The Clouds route to Vancouver. This package includes the luxury of 2 days onboard the Rocky Mountaineer train in SilverLeaf or GoldLeaf service and the self-drive portion from Calgary to Jasper gives you the freedom to travel at your own pace.
Please be aware that due to the elevation of the Canadian Rockies, the weather can be unpredictable any time of the year, especially during the winter, spring and autumn months. If you are not comfortable driving in potentially wintry conditions, then you should consider the 7 night Journey Through The Clouds Great Explorer (Westbound) package instead.
This itinerary is available in reverse, starting in Vancouver on Mondays and Thursdays.
