Rockies to the Red Rocks, Denver to Moab - 1 night
This sightseeing train is part of Rocky Mountaineer's newest route, a 1.5 day train journey between Denver, Colorado, and Moab, Utah, with an overnight stay in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. The train travels only during the day and features oversized windows, so your do not miss a moment of the ever-changing landscapes. This is the only passenger train to take guests directly to Moab, completed with a short drive by motorcoach to downtown Moab. This "rail only" package is the absolute minimum you can book.
This Canyon Spirit train (formally the Rocky Mountaineer) is the perfect centerpiece for a Western train adventure in the States. Despite the name change, if you have travelled onboard the Rocky Mountaineer train before, in the States or in Canada, return guest discounts still apply when you book through us.
This Rockies to the Red Rocks route showcases scenic views that are unique to the Southwest United States, as you travel between the states of Colorado and Utah. Between Denver and Glenwood Springs, you will journey alongside the Colorado River and through a series of canyons with steep, rugged rock walls. The route between Glenwood Springs and Moab offers a variety of scenery, including mountain vistas, desert cliffs and rock formations which were sculpted by nature millions of years ago.
This itinerary is available in reverse, starting in Moab, Utah on Saturdays.
For a seamless itinerary, we recommend you extend your train tour from Denver to Salt Lake City.
