The Rockies to the Red Rocks is Rocky Mountaineer's newest route, a 1.5 day train journey between Denver, Colorado, and Moab, Utah, with an overnight stay in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. The train travels only during the day and features oversized windows, so your do not miss a moment of the ever-changing landscapes. Rocky Mountaineer is the only passenger train to take guests directly to Moab, completed with a short drive by motorcoach to downtown Moab. This "rail only" package is the absolute minimum you can book.

This Rockies to the Red Rocks route showcases scenic views that are unique to the Southwest United States, as you travel between the states of Colorado and Utah. Between Denver and Glenwood Springs, you will journey alongside the Colorado River and through a series of canyons with steep, rugged rock walls. The route between Glenwood Springs and Moab offers a variety of scenery, including mountain vistas, desert cliffs and rock formations which were sculpted by nature millions of years ago.

This itinerary is available in reverse, starting in Moab, Utah on Mondays and Thursdays.

For a seamless itinerary, we recommend you book your hotel nights in Denver and Moab through us. When booking your Denver and Moab hotel nights through us, we ensure you are picked up and dropped off at your hotels, as rail station transfers in Denver and Moab would be included.
