Rocky Mountaineer Train, Seton Lake, BC

Rainforest to Gold Rush Self-Drive Vacation - 8 nights

This Vancouver to Calgary rail and self-drive eastbound itinerary really maximizes your time in Western Canada and starts with a Rocky Mountaineer train experience along the Rainforest to Gold Rush route, which takes you through Whistler and Quesnel to Jasper. This package includes the luxury of 2 days and 3.5 hours onboard the Rocky Mountaineer train in SilverLeaf or GoldLeaf service, and the rest is self-drive from Jasper to Calgary, giving you the freedom to travel at your own pace.

Please be aware that due to the elevation of the Canadian Rockies, the weather can be unpredictable any time of the year, especially during the winter, spring and autumn months. If you are not comfortable driving in potentially wintry conditions, then you should consider the 8 night Rainforest to Gold Rush Explorer (Eastbound) package instead.

This itinerary is available in reverse, starting in Calgary on Thursdays.

If you would like more time to explore the Canadian Rockies, we can easily add additional hotel nights in Jasper, Banff and Lake Louise, and additional car rental days. We can also add extra hotel nights in Vancouver or Calgary. Just let us know your preferences when submitting a quote request to us.
